Swedish-based hearing protector manufacturer Sordin has announced Gustav Falconer as new CEO. He brings extensive M&A and international management experience, which will be key building blocks to reach Sordin’s ambitious growth targets.

The Board of Directors of Sordin has appointed Gustav Falconer as the new CEO. He joins the company following a successful tenure with Swedish industrial automation group Piab Group, most recently as president of the vacuum automation division, and he also has prior experience from the consumer goods industry as well as management consulting.
“I am excited to join Sordin and a highly competent and driven team. In my view, Sordin is very well positioned for strong continued growth and success in the marketplace, and I very much look forward to the journey ahead” says Gustav Falconer.
“Gustav’s significant experience in management, mergers and acquisitions, and international commerce makes him an ideal fit for this role,” commented Thomas Bräutigam, Chairman of the Board for Sordin.
In the fall of 2023, Coeli acquired a majority stake in Sordin from former owner DeVenture, who remains a significant shareholder.
The owners and management team have set ambitious growth targets, aiming to double organic sales by 2027 and further accelerate sales by potential strategic acquisitions.
“It is crucial that Sordin continues to build the organization and adds the right competence and resources across the whole group. Investments in our people is the key defining success factor for our future endeavors” added Thomas Bräutigam.
Former CEO Therése Wilson who previously also held the COO position will continue as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and heads up the manufacturing sites Sordin Värnamo and Sordin Vikmanshyttan, focusing on further improving Sordin’s supply chain.
Gustav Falconer officially assumed the role of CEO at Sordin Group on Monday, April 8, 2024, and will be based in Stockholm, Sweden.
